Three 6-round Swiss tournaments, FIDE & NZCF Rapid rated where possible.
Non-NZ players must have a FIDE ID issued by their chess federation.
25 minutes each player plus 5 seconds increment per move from move one.
Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided at no charge throughout the tournament

Prize giving as soon as possible after last game completed
No player may claim more than one prize.
The organisers reserve the right to shift a player to a different tournament category.
Prizes and titles will be shared equally in the event of a tie.
A minimum prize fund of $1320
plus award-winning Hawke's Bay wine. Please see below for the cash prize distribution.
GM's, WGM's, IM's and WIM's may enter for free - an entry fee of $55 will be taken from any prizes won.
$10 Late Fee if payment not received by Wednesday, 11th February 2026.
Entries without payment are treated as late and can be paid in cash up to 9:30am 15th February 2026.
New Entries will be accepted on the day of play only at the discretion of the organiser.
